Common Questions

Vinyl, holo, glitter, clear, cling, die cut, kiss cut, bumper, sheets, and the rest of the lineup.

If I only pick one, which material should I get?

Benji from Sticker Bull
Sticker Bull

Vinyl. That is most of what we print. Waterproof, UV laminate, holds up on bottles, laptops, and cars. Grab holographic or glitter if you want the extra flash. Clear if you want the surface showing through. Cling if it is going on glass and you do not want adhesive.

You

What is actually different about your vinyl?

Benji from Sticker Bull
Sticker Bull

It is 7-8 mil vinyl with laminate, printed in Los Angeles, CA. Rated for a few years outside. Dishwasher is fine for everyday use. Colors print true and the cut follows your art on die cut. If you are ordering merch, branding, or anything that has to last, this is the one.

You

How are holographic stickers different from regular vinyl?

Benji from Sticker Bull
Sticker Bull

There is a rainbow film under the print, so the design shifts as you move it. Bold shapes and darker colors pop. Light pastels and tiny details can get lost in the shine. Upload your file and Trail Check will run a holo preview before you checkout.

You

Is glitter just sparkle printed on top?

Benji from Sticker Bull
Sticker Bull

No. The sparkle is in the material, so it has a real texture, not a fake overlay. Simple logos and strong shapes look the best. Super fine type can get eaten by the glitter.

You

Do clear stickers work on colored bottles?

Benji from Sticker Bull
Sticker Bull

They work, but whatever is behind them shows through the print. Light bottles, glass, and windows look the best. Dark surfaces will mute your colors. Send a PNG with a transparent background so empty areas stay clear.

You

Vinyl vs cling. What is the actual difference?

Benji from Sticker Bull
Sticker Bull

Vinyl has adhesive. It sticks and stays. Cling uses static, no glue, so it only works on clean glass, mirrors, and storefronts. Peel it off later with no residue. Do not put cling on a water bottle or a car bumper.

You

Die cut vs kiss cut. Which one do I want?

Benji from Sticker Bull
Sticker Bull

Die cut follows your artwork and cuts all the way through. You peel a custom shape. Kiss cut slices the vinyl but leaves the backing intact, which is why it is used on sheets. Same vinyl. Different cut. If you want a sticker that is the shape of your logo, that is die cut.

You

Are bumper stickers a different material?

Benji from Sticker Bull
Sticker Bull

No. Same outdoor vinyl and UV laminate, just sized for bumpers and bigger vehicle spots. Built for sun, rain, and car washes. If it is going on a car, bumper or vinyl die cut both hold up.

You

What are sticker sheets good for?

Benji from Sticker Bull
Sticker Bull

A bunch of stickers on one backing, kiss cut so people peel them one at a time. Good for merch packs, events, and giving someone a set instead of a pile of singles. Same waterproof vinyl as the rest.

You

Circle, square, rectangle. Why not just die cut?

Benji from Sticker Bull
Sticker Bull

Same vinyl. The difference is the shape. Die cut follows your outline. Circle, square, rectangle, and oval are standard shapes if you do not need a custom contour. Faster to set up when the art already lives in a clean shape.

You

How do QR code stickers work?

Benji from Sticker Bull
Sticker Bull

Regular vinyl with a QR in the art. Drop the code in your file or use the placement tool on that calculator. Keep it big enough to scan. Low-res codes are the ones that fail, and Trail Check will flag that before we print.

You

Will these actually hold up outdoors?

Benji from Sticker Bull
Sticker Bull

Vinyl, holographic, glitter, and clear all get a UV laminate. Bottles, laptops, cars, weather. Cling is the exception. That one is for windows, not outdoor gear.

You

What file should I send?

Benji from Sticker Bull
Sticker Bull

PNG, SVG, PDF, AI, EPS, and JPG all work. Vector files like SVG and AI give the cleanest die-cut edge. For clear stickers, a PNG with a transparent background is the easiest. Trail Check scans the upload and flags anything that looks too low-res.
